ABOUT

Mike C. has been training in martial arts for 23 years. Beginning in Pennsylvania with a black belt in Shorin-Ryu Karate. Once the fire was lit, Mike began studying other arts including Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Sambo, Judo, Shootfighting, and Muay Thai. During college Mike represented Lock Haven University on the Boxing and Wrestling teams.
After receiving a teaching degree in Health & Physical Education, Mike chose to pursue his martial arts goals, and moved across country to train with the Pat Miletich MMA gym in Bettendorf, Iowa. Throughout the next 7 years at MFS, Mike fought his way through the Miletich Fighting Systems to earn his Blackbelt from the UFC Hall of Famer, Pat Miletich. Mike would also go on to be the starting light heavyweight of the two-time World Champion Quad City Silverbacks from 2006-2008, in the now extinct International Fight League.
More than just a competitor, Ciesnolevicz known for his technical ability went on to become an integral part of the MFS team helping to teach striking, grappling and the professional fight team practices. Mike also acted as a corner-man to a variety of the MFS team UFC stars during their championship reigns. Over the course of seven years, Mike trained daily along side 15-20 World Champion fighters in what was once known as the world's toughest fight gym.
In 2009 Mike achieved his ultimate goal, being called to fight in the UFC. He was called last minute to fight "The Goliath", Neil Grove. Mike easily defeated the massive 6'6" heavyweight in 63 seconds with a devastating heel hook submission, proving that technique and skill will always beat size and strength.
Mike has now been getting back to his true passion in life, studying martial arts across the globe, including a trip to Thailand to study Muay Thai, and Brazil to study Jiu-Jitsu. In 2015 Mike received his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt under the legendary BJJ pioneer, Sergio Penha, who is one of the world's few 7th degree coral belts in the sport. Mike also studied boxing at the world famous Mayweather Boxing Gym, training under the former World Champion boxer, Jeff Mayweather. Mike now continues his journey by combining his dedication as a martial artist with his Bachelor's degree in education .
